Eamonn Confrey

Decarbonisation Policy, Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment

Eamonn Confrey is the Principal Officer of the Decarbonisation Policy Division in the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, where he is responsible for promoting the sustainability of energy supply and demand, and by delivering progressively on renewable energy targets, in line with the National Renewable Energy Action Plan. Eamonn was previously head of the Energy Security Division. Eamonn has served in three government departments, including as a diplomat in Washington D.C. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from University College Dublin and a Higher Diploma in Information Technology from NUI, Maynooth.
